The Morton's Steakhouse has been brought from the heart of urban Chicago to the luxurious international Sheraton hotel in the vibrant Kowloon, Hong Kong. Facing a stellar view of the Victoria Harbour, the restaurant provides immaculate service in a formal, well-adorned setting. With glittering chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and polished silverware candlesticks on pristine white tablecloths. Recently, Morton's has been bestowed Asia Tatler's Best Restaurant and South China Morning Post's Top 100 Tables, proving its prestigious reputation and quality. With an extensive award-winning wine list, Morton's is a location for fine dining. On the menu, there are a wide range of American classics, ranging from seafood platters to New York Steaks. If you make a reservation at Morton's during your birthday, they will provide you with a customized menu with your name and a complimentary dessert and card from the servers :) Chilled Morton's Prime Ocean Platter for two- $445 The infamous (AND MONSTROUS) Seafood Platter is assorted with "Maine Lobster, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, Jumbo Lump Crabmeat, Oysters on the Half Shell, Alaskian King Crab Legs" with Tobasco, cocktail sauce, mayonnaise and radish on the side. It can be ordered from two to up to six people. Overall, the seafood was quite delectable. The star of the show for definitely had to be the Jumbo Lump Crabmeat. Fresh, cool and juicy. The creaminess of the crab complemented the sourness of the mayonnaise. Other notable mentions are the cocktail shrimps and the oysters. Among the five of us, we shared the following dishes: Signature Cut New York Strip This is probably one of the best cuts in Hong Kong. The meat literally melts in your mouth with a rich meat flavour. We usually go for a medium to enjoy the juiciness of the red meat and crispy outer edges. It is perfect. Definitely a must-order. Prime Rib The prime rib is as good as the New York Strip, with a tougher texture and less dominant meat flavor, but nonetheless a delicious entree for sharing. A good serving size with a flawless marinade. Creamed Spinach Creamed Sweet Corn The creaminess of the sides were delicious and a great way to fill your stomach. The sweet corn in particular was spectacular, leaving an aromatic aftertaste in the mouth. Birthday Lemon Souffle
Souffles are not normally for me, but I could tell this one was perfect. Fluffy and bouncy, just the right warmth and brown colour. Eggy, but sweet and creamy on the inside. Molten Chocolate Lava Cake My favorite type of dessert by far. A cut into the cake leads to a warm gush of chocolate lava erupting from the sides and the bottom. A bite into the cake and a tasty heat and rich chocolate flavor and texture spreads into the crevices of the mouth. A perfect way to end the dinner.
