Lu Lu Restaurant is the first branch in Hong Kong of the reputable Shanghai restaurant chain, adding to the several outlets in Shanghai and Beijing with over 20 years' experience in Shanghainese recipes. Best known for its signature crabmeat and roe delicacies, all the ingredients the talented head chef (assigned by the main restaurant in ShanghaI) uses are a combination of fresh ingredients specially imported from Shanghai. Based on Hong Kong Tatler, Lulu ranks as number 3 out of the many prestigious contenders for Shanghainese Restaurants in Hong Kong. Over the past year, Lu Lu has become a family favorite, and within a few months, we managed to visit 3-4 times. Everytime we eat in Lulu, we order a wide variety of dishes in the middle to share between people. Below are some photos I've taken of the dishes we tried out. Excuse the poor quality photos....I can never get the Chinese-cuisine delectable-looking with my iPhone camera. But they taste so better than they look. But my favorite three dishes had to be the Drunken Chicken, the Chicken Noodle Soup and the Stir-Fried Sticky Rice Cake with Pork and Vegetables.
