Inside the restaurant, gaudy chairs were randomly strewed with yellow, green and blue colors. Marvel superheroes and clowns were painted on the tables which brightened the atmosphere. On each table was a wine glass filled with colourful candies, a sure favorite for any child. It is no wonder that 1/3 of the guests are children. The bright colors and fancy characters surely reminded me of Las Vegas. But hidden amongst these multicolored decorations were leftover food crumbs and dirt stains which made me slightly uncomfortable. Like its decor, the food was unique combining Asian and Western elements. For appetizer, we ordered chicken wings and calamari which was chewy, juicy and perfectly fried. There was a tangy dipping sauce on the side which complemented the crunchy calamari perfectly. The chicken wings were cooked in 3 different ways: spicy yuzu, rose, and lemon. This was an interesting presentation satisfying different palates in one dish. There were breakfast choices on the menu offering a good alternative for early eaters. For my main course, I ordered Long Thin Spaghetti in Tom Yum Goong (see above). Since pasta is my favourite Western food and Tom Yum Goong, one of my favourite soup, this dish was made for me. The soothing refreshing taste of basil complemented the spicy flavour of chili in the dish well. The dish was also colourful, matching the restaurant's 'fun' theme. My family also ordered chicken terriyaki pizza, mentaiko spaghetti, and spaghetti bolognese. The Asian infused pizza was strange to the taste bud, sweet but cheesy. The mentaiko spaghetti was creative and thick and richly flavored. A few small bites would have whetted our taste buds nicely, but finishing the whole plate of mentaiko spaghetti was taxing on the taste bud and stomach. Dining here was like attending a circus, fun and creative. The dishes themselves were the various shows of the circus. This restaurant is the epitome of a fun, Vegas-feel, unique dining experience. The waiters are similarly young and energetic, enhancing that "neon" vibe. This is an experience worth trying out.
