Fancy Family Club Dinner

The Aberdeen Marina Club is one of the most prestigious Clubs in Hong Kong. With multiple luxurious facilities, the club has an excellent reputation for a wide array of fine dining opportunities.

On a quiet Thursday evening, I went with a friend to the Deck for a small dinner. The Deck specialises in both buffet and a la carte, and is by far one of the more popular restaurants in the AMC. Simple, but fancy, it really is a convenient place to dine in.

Since Aberdeen Marina Club is partnering with Green Monday, The Deck does involve itself in environmentally and socially beneficial ways. Read more about Green Monday here:  http://fivesensesofhk.weebly.com/green-monday

The restaurant was already quite full by the time we got there. From toddlers, to an elderly couple to a family of 6, all types of people meet at the Deck for a casual social event in a fancy setting.

There is a wide variety of cuisines and options on the menu. From Western sandwiches to the classic Wonton Noodle, there is practically something for everyone. For those healthy ones, there is even a healthy section with salads and other healthy delights.

Hainanese Chicken Rice: Overall, I enjoyed this dish. The chicken was tender and juicy. However I felt like there was a lack of that spice and flavor. This applies to the rice as well. I wish there was a more fragrance and rich chicken taste in both. The soup was very delicious though, with a variety of spices and a chicken flavor. Overall a delicious dish- a bit expensive though!
